Welcome to issue 3, again we thank you for your considerable responses and the many questions we will endeavour to resolve throughout the course of the magazine. Yet again, we will be bringing you an action packed edition, brimming with exciting information and top tips. We are sure you will enjoy the magazine as we experience a significant stage of growth and look forward to you growing with us.
In this our third edition, we have gone bigger and better due to the development of the ‘special features’ sections as we continue to expand and bring you the latest information on the top investment destinations from around the globe. In this edition, we focus on the investment potential of Brazil, Lithuania and Croatia. We hope you find them informative and illustrative of the typical investment opportunities currently on offer. Dominic, having recently launched the meteoric success story aka The Grove Spa Resort, details what he believes makes a good resort. He takes you on a guided tour of each stage of the process, explaining how the potential re-sales and lettings of a high quality resort far outweigh those of a ‘typical’ resort. We review the much maligned Home Information Packs (HIPs), along with an assessment of how the recent floods have and will affect property prices in and around those areas. We take a look at what the floods mean for investors and what the future may bring. Collette Lord gives her inimitable view on how to find great tenants, whilst David Lawrenson reviews what’s next for the UK property market.
Finally, we get back to the regular features and presentations that we know you enjoy… the UK, Irish, European and Worldwide News round-up, Farrell’s view takes a closer look at some of the tricks of the trade frequently used by property developers including the use of ludicrous discounts and inflated returns on investment. Economic Masterclass returns with Dr Stephan Pfaffenzeller examining the topic of inflation and how it can affect your investments. Tony Taylor, our mortgage expert, gives advice on how to build a portfolio, in addition to exploring the little thought of exit strategies. Finally, Dominic returns with his own indisputable take on the similarities of strategic warfare, when he examines the similarities between military and business jargon and the processes followed in his prosperity column. We hope you enjoy this edition and request that you continue to forward your questions and ideas of any new areas and features you would like to see in future editions….

Issue 4 |
The release of the Magazine’s fourth edition heralds our first birthday. Our first birthday, is a source of great pride as subscriptions are through the roof, we are posting the magazine to 49 different countries around the world and the latest edition is by far the most comprehensive and informative edition yet, with 60 pages of action packed tips and suggestions on how and where to make money from investment properties. We look forward to identifying some of the best investment opportunities in what may prove to be a pivotal year with many economic markets being subjected to intense review and overhaul following the adverse effects of what is becoming a global credit crunch.
In this edition, we focus on a fantastic investment opportunity in neighbouring France. This ski-resort in Val d’Allos, is nestled under the shadows of the southern French Alps and is being offered as part of a guaranteed 9-year leaseback scheme. These properties are also fully hands off as they are completely property managed. This scheme is very low risk and is being offered in an area that has witnessed average capital growth returns of 15% per annum. The magazine contains a detailed report on the resort inclusive of example costs. Looking a little further, we feature Hungary, as a potential investment destination that appears to have been consistently undervalued over the last few years. This report illustrates the real potential on offer in this Central European Country that is home to the cultural delights of its capital, Budapest. Budapest sitting on the Danube, is complemented by a natural environment of hills, forests and natural thermal spas. With four central sites being awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, it is easy to see why property investment is viewed as such good value. This concept is only heightened when compared to some of its illustrious neighbours such as Austria and Croatia.
This editions third and final ‘country focus’ features Cape Verde, a small band of islands with Caribbean type characteristics located just off the West Africa coast. With Cape Verde due to join the EU in 2008, this island paradise has grown in stature and has undergone some major transformations as many have been awakened to its irresistible charm, not to mention the investment opportunities on offer, it’s warm weather, direct and accessible flights and strengthening financial and tourism based industries. Cape Verde is certainly one to watch this year and we bring you some interesting facts and figures on the island.
The ‘Special Features’ section of this edition has witnessed some strong growth this magazine, whilst Dominic gives an interesting insight into his busy schedule and how the economy affects his investment and development decisions. Henry Powell-Jones gives an in-depth analysis of French leaseback schemes, whilst making an introduction to our sister company, Jet-to-Let Investments. We recommend that you keep an eye on the investment arm of the company and the many upcoming opportunities becoming available in the coming months. We have some outstanding investment deals coming up in France, Berlin, mystical Morocco and the beautiful Sicily. Be assured that we will bring these exclusive opportunities to you as and when they become available. The special features also include a written report from the first Jet-to-Let Annual Conference, Liverpool: Capital of Culture 2008 along with a review of the opportunities such an illustrious award may present to UK investors. We also review what it takes to become a student landlord and look at the associated benefits as well how to spot that elusive opportunity. Finally, we analyse the implications of the pre-budget tax review and look at the likely effects it will have on UK property investors.

Dominic talks us through a typical week of his busy schedule in a Diary of a Property Investor and Developer, whilst we reveal the top ten destinations as voted by the latest thousand subscribers we polled in the Jet-to-Let Magazine 2008 subscriber survey.
As always, the magazine is completed by our regular features including the UK, Ireland, European and Worldwide News round-up, Ireland, UK and US Property Market Reports, again, all of which make for some interesting reading that may prove pivotal when investors are searching out some opportunities in well-developed and mature property markets. Dominic’s Prosperity Column examines wealth and prosperity drawing on the views of some of the leading icons of the 20th Century. We end the magazine with our Diary of Events for the upcoming 3 months and hope that you enjoy this magazine and keep your questions coming in. |
