It's a very warm start to the morning here in Cyprus and I am looking forward to jumping into my pool after writing this newsletter before going to the office for a couple of hours before hitting the beach this afternoon.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, we all work hard, some with long daily commutes and hours to match. But how many times do we reflect on the Why and For What? How many of us have a clear and defined purpose which makes the many hours we spend in trains, cars and planes and in meetings and offices further our goals of say, financial freedom? Do we work for works sake, or do we have a master plan?

Property investing and creating a business which makes products which consumers wish to buy, at a price which will generate a profit, are the 2 most proven and successful ways in which to break clean of a salaried life. Once you have done this then you own your time, no one else does. .

Land Developing

As I alluded to in the previous newsletter we have been looking at a few plots of land to add to our land bank and managed to have an offer accepted last week. Given its location, aspect and the local development plan for the area this will prove to be solid investment. Land developing is a natural progression for a property investor and one which I advise most investors to pursue. However, we all have to start somewhere and building a profitable portfolio is one such route. It is also not for the faint hearted as there are many hurdles to clear, least of all finding it in the first place, and then persuading the bank that you have a good idea. I will cover the main aspects of this on the 7th July course.

New Development Scheme

Our new scheme in South Larnaca was sent to the authorities for planning permission on Friday of last week. We have been working on this for about 7 months and have assembled a fantastic team of professionals, including one of the most innovative and creative architects in Cyprus. The unique design and the concept will set the standard in Cyprus and has received a very favourable response from the planning authorities throughout the consultation phase. We are all very excited and will shortly offer more details.
